Bringing people in your community together can be a great networking tool. Who? Other agents within your company, if you’re a captive agent. If you’re an independent agents, other such agents in your area. Or maybe people who work in the industries related to the type of insurance you sell.
For instance, if you sell car insurance, maybe you could gather together local car dealers and mechanics to talk about a safety campaign. Or if you’re in the health insurance industry, maybe you could get together doctors, nurses and other practitioners to talk about the effects of insurance reform. Whatever group you bring together, you’ll prove you have the initiative to get people into a room to talk out solutions to big problems.
